Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of withZeta ("Service", "Platform"). Violation of this Policy may result in account suspension or termination without notice.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Permitted Uses
You MAY use withZeta for:
1.1 Research & Education
- ✓ Rare cancer research exploration
- ✓ Drug discovery hypothesis generation
- ✓ Literature synthesis and evidence gathering
- ✓ Clinical trial identification (research purposes)
- ✓ Academic research projects
- ✓ Educational purposes (teaching, learning)
1.2 Professional Use
- ✓ Pharmaceutical R&D exploration
- ✓ Biotech startup research
- ✓ Clinical trial design support
- ✓ Grant proposal research
- ✓ Scientific publication support (with proper attribution)
1.5 High-Risk Use Case Requirements
If you use Zeta outputs to inform HIGH-RISK decisions, you MUST implement these additional safeguards:
High-Risk Use Cases Include:
- Healthcare Decisions: Medical diagnosis, patient care, treatment recommendations, clinical protocols
- Clinical Trial Design: Patient eligibility criteria, trial protocols affecting human subjects
- Drug Safety Assessments: Toxicity predictions, adverse event analysis for regulatory decision-making
- Regulatory Submissions: FDA submissions, EMA dossiers, or other regulatory filings that include AI-generated content
Required Safeguards:
1. Human-in-the-Loop (REQUIRED)
A qualified professional in the relevant field (e.g., oncologist, clinical researcher, medicinal chemist, toxicologist) MUST:
- Review all AI-generated outputs before use in high-risk decisions
- Validate outputs against primary literature and experimental data
- Take full responsibility for the accuracy and appropriateness of final decisions
- Document their review and validation process
2. AI Disclosure (REQUIRED)
You MUST disclose to relevant stakeholders (patients, regulatory agencies, institutional review boards, journal editors) that AI was used to assist in generating:
- Medical advice, recommendations, or treatment protocols
- Clinical trial protocols, eligibility criteria, or informed consent documents
- Regulatory submission content or safety assessments
- Published research findings or scientific manuscripts
3. Independent Validation (REQUIRED)
For regulatory submissions or high-stakes decisions, you must independently validate AI outputs through:
- Primary literature review by domain experts
- Experimental validation where applicable
- Peer review by qualified professionals
- Cross-referencing with multiple authoritative sources
2. Prohibited Uses
You MAY NOT use withZeta for:
2.1 Medical Practice
- ✗ Diagnosing diseases in patients
- ✗ Prescribing treatments or medications
- ✗ Replacing clinical judgment
- ✗ Direct patient care decisions
- ✗ Generating medical records or clinical notes
2.2 Illegal Activities
- ✗ Illegal drug synthesis guidance
- ✗ Bioweapon development
- ✗ Fraudulent research or data fabrication
- ✗ Violating HIPAA, GDPR, or other privacy laws
- ✗ Circumventing export control restrictions
2.3 System Abuse
- ✗ Automated scraping or bot access
- ✗ Reverse engineering the platform
- ✗ Attempting to bypass rate limits
- ✗ Excessive API usage (above fair use thresholds)
- ✗ Sharing account credentials
- ✗ Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits
2.4 Harmful Content
- ✗ Generating disinformation or fake medical studies
- ✗ Creating content to harm specific populations
- ✗ Exploiting vulnerable patient populations
- ✗ Spreading medical misinformation
- ✗ Inciting violence or hateful behavior
- ✗ Creating sexually explicit content
2.5 Security & Infrastructure
- ✗ Compromising critical infrastructure
- ✗ Compromising computer or network systems
- ✗ Developing or designing weapons
2.6 Privacy & Identity
- ✗ Compromising privacy or identity rights
- ✗ Compromising children's safety
- ✗ Generating content that violates individual privacy
2.7 Democratic & Legal Processes
- ✗ Undermining democratic processes
- ✗ Engaging in targeted campaign activities
- ✗ Using for criminal justice, censorship, surveillance, or prohibited law enforcement purposes
2.8 Commercial Misuse
- ✗ Reselling Zeta outputs as a service (without written agreement)
- ✗ Using outputs for FDA submissions without independent validation (see High-Risk Use Case Requirements)
- ✗ Claiming AI-generated content as solely human-authored without disclosure
- ✗ Violating third-party data source terms (PubMed, ORPHANET, etc.)
- ✗ Engaging in fraudulent, abusive, or predatory practices
3. Content Ownership & Attribution
3.1 User Inputs
- You retain ownership of your query text
- By submitting queries, you grant Lantern Pharma a license to process and store them
3.2 AI-Generated Outputs
Outputs are provided under a non-exclusive, royalty-free license. You may use outputs for research, publication, and commercial purposes with the following requirements:

3.3 Third-Party Data
When using Output that includes third-party data, you must comply with the respective terms:
- PubMed citations must include PMID and DOI
- ORPHANET data subject to ORPHANET's terms of use
- Clinical trials data from ClinicalTrials.gov (public domain)
4. Account Responsibilities
4.1 Account Security
- Keep credentials confidential
- Use strong passwords
- Do not share accounts with others
- Report suspicious activity immediately to contact@withzeta.ai
4.2 Accurate Information
- Provide accurate email and contact information
- Update account details when they change
4.3 Fair Use
- Respect rate limits and resource constraints
- Do not monopolize system resources
- Report bugs and security issues responsibly
5. Data Upload Restrictions (When Enabled)
When file upload is enabled, you MUST NOT upload:
- ✗ Protected Health Information (PHI) - HIPAA violation
- ✗ Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- ✗ Proprietary data without authorization
- ✗ Copyrighted material without rights
- ✗ Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- ✗ Excessively large files (50MB per file limit)
6. Beta Program Conduct
During beta, you agree to:
- ✓ Provide constructive feedback
- ✓ Report bugs and errors
- ✓ Not publicly disparage the platform (report issues privately first)
- ✓ Acknowledge beta status in any publications using Zeta
7. Enforcement
7.1 Violation Consequences
First Offense: Warning + 7-day suspension
Second Offense: 30-day suspension
Third Offense: Permanent account termination
Severe Violations (illegal activity, patient harm, system abuse):
→ Immediate permanent termination without warning

- Final decision at Lantern Pharma's discretion
8. Reporting Violations
If you observe another user violating this policy:

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.
- Users notified via email for material changes
- Continued use after changes = acceptance
- Right to terminate account if you disagree
